Social Anxiety, General Anxiety, Health Anxiety are just some the different types of anxieties we can suffer from. Some of us will suffer from just 1 anxiety and others will suffer from more than one. The question is how do we set ourselves up during the day for maximum success so we avoid the overwhelm and the confusion that anxiety brings us. Well below I have come up with what I call ‘The Anxiety Expert’s Daily Questions’. These questions are a good start to help you overcome your anxiety and move you from the swamp of anxiety to dry land:)
Ask yourself these questions:
1) Who do these thoughts belong to?
2) Who decides to hold onto these thoughts or let them go?
3) What is the worst thing that can happen to me if I let these thoughts go?
4) How do I know that that is what will happen to me? What evidence is there to suggest that this is true?
5) If I’m the boss and in charge of my thoughts ‘Can I just decide to let them go?’
6) What will my life be like If I achieve my goal and how will I know this is real for me? What will it feel like? What new positive beliefs will I have?
